On Sunday, June 4, 2017, the fourth Rings of Strength event will kick-off at Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel Casino at the early hour of 5:30 a.m. Participants can choose one of two bike routes, a challenging 50K route in the scenic Red Rock Canyon, a moderate 15K ride, or a brisk 5K run or a relaxing 5K walk along the always interesting Las Vegas strip.
Participants can also sign up for 90 minutes of yoga with instructor Suzanne Adams of Assurant. The session will begin at 9:00 a.m. and mats will be provided.
The "Rings of Strength Tour" name originates from the story of Maggie and Odie - two beautiful children, diagnosed with cancer, who formed a deep bond that was illustrated by a ring of strength that Maggie gave to Odie during his fight for life.
Participants can choose to register as individuals or organize a team. When you register, you create your own unique URL that you can send to all your friends and contacts to ask them to support your participation. If you want to set up a team, register yourself first.
Since 2013, more than $250,000 has been raised by the event participants that went to support children in need.
If you want to rent a bike to participate in the event, visit the website for McGhie's Ski Bike and Board at www.mcghies.com and click on Bike Rental. McGhie's will transport all the rented bikes to the starting point on the day of the event.
